We serve Sabrett Hot Dogs and Hot Sausages. We use the finest Sabrett products. The Hot Dog Chili, the Vegetarian Chili, the Trackside Chili and the Fire in the Caboose Chili are all homemade as are our Baked Beans that are slow cooked for hours.
We are open Monday through
Friday from 11 AM to 6 PM and from 11 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays.
We are open year round.
How it all began-Every time Roger and Kathy
Lane drove by the caboose,
Roger would comment to Kathy that this would be the perfect spot for a hot dog
place. One day he was passing by and spotted the "for rent" sign on the caboose and
his car practically steered itself into
the parking lot. Roger and Kathy approached Brian and Carol, who both work in the
food industry, and asked them if they wanted to become partners in this hot dog
adventure. The four of them put their heads together.
The rest is history.

What we know about the caboose itself is that it is over a hundred years old. It was in service in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania until the mid 1970's. It was restored by the current owner, Judy Devitt, who also owns the Pottery and Gift Shops located at the Wortendyke Station. The Caboose was previously used as a gift shop and more recently as Larry's Model Trains.
Hope to see you soon
